Farmers in the United Kingdom are not fully in support of Britain remaining a member of the EU. A survey commissioned by the National Farm Research Unit shows only a narrow majority of the farmers, 38%, wanted to stay, 34 % wanted to leave and 28% were indecisive.
Support for the EU has waned over the years as the portion of EU funds spent on agriculture declined. However, the Britain’s National Farmers Union is of the opinion that membership to the EU is still in the best interest of British farmers.To read more, click HERE.
