Job Description
Deal with corporate and leisure clients.
Quote and confirm domestic, regional, and international flights and land arrangements.
Book and issue airline tickets on the Galileo GDS Reservation System.
Book travel insurance
Be energetic, have a positive attitude
Must be able to work independently
Be totally organized
Excellent attention to detail skills
Have good time management skills and be able to perform tasks simultaneously
Prioritize work load for the most urgent flight and travel requests
Required Qualifications
Matric qualification
Travel and Tourism Certificate
Galileo Certificate and sign on code
Minimum 5 years’ experience as an travel agent
Proficient on Galileo Smartpoint, Document Producer, Quicktrav and Microsoft Office
Must have detailed knowledge with Galileo Ticketing on the GDS
Automated Refunds via Galileo / BSP Link
Competent in Re-Issuing, EMD’s, Group bookings & BSP Billing
In-depth understanding of fares and ticketing
Have knowledge of travel accounting for invoicing purposes
Excellent command of spoken and written Afrikaans & English
Extensive global product and geographical travel knowledge
High accuracy and concentration, focusing on detail
Results orientated
Excellent organisational and administration skills
Ability to work under pressure and longer hours when necessary
Must be dynamic and willing to go the extra mile
