SA Large Herds Conference 2015

The committee is already hard at work on the 2015 conference which is themed: Productivity through technology and innovation”.  This event will be held from 1-3 June 2015 at The Boardwalk in Port Elizabeth.

In this modern age, technology is a buzz word – but not only a buzz word – also a necessity if our farmers are to be competitive, productive and commercially viable.  We are currently sourcing speakers who will be able to address us on enhancing on-farm productivity and highlight innovative new methods of running a dairy farm by using the best technology at their disposal. There is always someone out there who has found ‘a better way to do’ and these are the people we are hoping to source for our conference.  For those who were at the 2007 conference – Yani Garcia has already agreed to present two papers at this conference, viz. The Innovative Utilisation of Forage, and also Robotic milking – practical implications and experiences.  He is just one of several excellent speakers who have been invited to address us next year.

HOW LARGE IS LARGE ENOUGH?  To those milk producers who do not see themselves as large herd milk producers – do not be misled by the name Large Herds Conference.  The aim of this conference is to educate and bring new ideas to each and every producer in the country.  We guarantee that nobody will leave this conference without taking home something that you can implement in your own dairy and which will put you in a better financial position in the long run.

If you think it is too expensive, think again.  The cost of this conference will be a drop in the bucket compared to what you can gain from it.  Do not miss out – you will regret it later.  Register early to make sure your attendance is guaranteed. Click HERE to view the final programme
