Pupils in the Eastern Cape enjoy milk weekend

MPO Eastern Cape sponsored accommodation and meals for learners participating in the Melktandjie-Sportnaweek (milk tooth sports weekend) hosted by Paul Sauer School, Kareedouw, Eastern Cape. Six-hundred learners from mostly underprivileged junior schools in the Eastern Cape took part in the event on 22 and 23 August. Activities included visits to various dairy farms in the Tstitsikamma region and a visit to Woodlands Dairy in Humansdorp, which was concluded by a round robin netball and rugby tournament. Participants received flavoured milk, cheese and other dairy products during the weekend with its milk theme. The organisers expressed their gratitude to the MPO Eastern Cape, Woodlands Dairy, Oudebosch Dairy and Tstitsikamma Transport whose sponsorships made the enjoyable event possible.
