Productivity improves with skills development training

Milk producers are urged to use the MPO’s Institute for Dairy Technology’s (IDT) AgriSeta-accredited skills development training courses for farm workers. These courses are presented on the farm in the workers’ language of preference by highly skilled IDT instructors.

The following skills development programmes are available:

  • Milk production: animal husbandry, hygiene and milking machine
  • Care of farm animals: animal husbandry:  beef cattle, sheep, goats
  • Artificial insemination
  • Socio-economic empowerment
  • Feedlot livestock handling – feedlot unit controller, occupational health and safety – code of practice.
