Preliminary figures supplied by Milk SA indicate that milk production growth is slowing down. In July 2015, 244 million litres of milk was delivered to the market. This is 6,9% more than during July 2014. Total deliveries for the seven-month period equals 1 719 million litres, up 10% on 2014. Production is expected to slow down in the coming months as producers react to lower producer and higher input prices.
