Total milk deliveries during September was 4,3% higher than in the same period last year. Production growth slowed down from a year-on-year rate of 12,6% in March. Total deliveries during the first nine months of 2015 was 8,8% more than during the same period last year. The main reasons for the slowdown are lower producer prices, higher feed and other input prices, drier conditions, especially in the inland areas, scarcity of good-quality roughage and production quotas enforced by some milk processors. Higher production since July 2014 has also created a higher base for comparison.
