MPO chief executive to retire

MPO chief executive Mr Bertus de Jongh has requested the board to allow him to retire earlier than planned with effect from 1 April 2015. Mr De Jongh has been employed in the dairy industry for 24 years and, among others, held the positions of chief executive of the Dairy and Milk Board and Milk SA. MPO chairman Mr Tom Turner said. “I believe it is important for us to reflect on the significant contribution Bertus has made to the entire dairy industry during his tenure. The MPO is truly his ‘life’s work’ and as a dairy community we will be forever indebted to him. We will miss his enthusiasm and passion for all things dairy.”
