Improve cow efficiency with herd management systems

Eastern Cape dairy farmers received valuable advice by Georgie Muller of Waikato on how to improve cow efficiency by focusing on fertility, health, feeding, culling and genetics at the MPO Eastern cape AGM held on Wednesday in Port Elizabeth. Guest speaker Piet Croucamp, political analyst and presenter of Megaboere on Kyknet said farmers who succeed in difficult times are the ones who swiftly adapt to changing circumstances. Simon Matthews stepped down as MPO director and chairman of the MPO Eastern Cape after more than 20 years of service. The MPO lauds him for his dedication and the valuable contribution he made to the dairy industry and the organisation. Lourens Gildenhuys was appointed as the new chairman of MPO Eastern Cape, Zola Gebeda as vice-chairman and Nigel Lok as third director. The MPO congratulates them on their appointment
