Idexx winner of TDM Innovation Award

Now in its second year, The Dairy Mail (TDM) Innovation Awards aim to recognise and celebrate companies and products that conceptualise and produce technological solutions that assist the South African dairy farmers in improving their efficiency, productivity and profitability.

The judges were Dr Chris van Dijk, executive editor of the editorial committee and CEO of the MPO, Stephan Steyn, president of the South African Society of Dairy Technology, and Danie Schutte, dairy farmer and vice-chairman of MPO North. This year saw such varied entries from different production areas that the judges decided to choose finalists in each of four categories: management, production, technology and processing, who were introduced in the September issue of TDM.

At the MPO Gala Dinner on 9 September, Robyn Joubert, editor of TDM, awarded the 2015 honours to Idexx for the Visual Pregnancy Test. Gail Saunter, general manager of Idexx South Africa and sub-Saharan Africa, received the award. Read more about this innovative product in our November issue!
