Closing the nutritional gap with sustainable dairy

The theme of this year’s International Dairy Federation (IDF) World Dairy Summit is Closing the nutritional gap with sustainable dairy. The WDS 2015 takes place from 20 to 24 September in Vilnius the capital of Lithuania. The chairman of the event’s organising committee, Bronius Markauskas, said, “The world needs nutritional security, and we must provide this safely and sustainably. Using the upcoming IDF World Dairy Summit and best available scientific and evidence-based information, we will strive to support the sector to overcome the challenges in these areas.” The programme kicks off with the Dairy Farmers Forum on 20 September, which offers dairy farmers from around the globe the opportunity to discuss issues of interest and learn from one another. Sixteen delegates from South Africa will attend the conference. To register and view the programme, click HERE.
