CHANGE ON THE HORIZON

Feedback following the survey

A few weeks ago, a survey was conducted among milk producers to gain an indication of what producers expect from the MPO.

We should like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your honest feedback. About 25% of the producers in the country provided feedback. The biggest response came from the interior (28%), followed by the Western Cape (27%), KwaZulu-Natal (24%) and the Eastern Cape (21%).

Valuable information was obtained, making it possible for the Board to take not only far-reaching decisions but hopefully the right decisions as well.

This is naturally not the right platform on which to do justice to the survey. The information collected was detailed and will be communicated in full and in a suitable manner to both members and non-members on a later occasion. This survey was used by the Board to gauge opinions. A lot of personal information/ideas were received as well, and will receive attention. It is clear that there are particular expectations regarding the MPO, some of which can be speedily addressed whereas others are going to take longer to implement. Obviously the MPO cannot be all things to all men, but the key aspects will receive attention without delay.

Thank you again for your participation. It is sincerely appreciated.
