This could be as close to guilt-free that ice cream is ever going to get: Researchers have revealed that fortification with chia seed oil ramps up omega-3 levels while maintaining taste and texture. According to a study done in at the department of dairy technology at the University of Veterinary and Animal Science in Pakistan, the chia-oil seed enhanced the omega-3 fatty acids and improves the antioxidant content of the ice cream.
