COLIN WELLBELOVED ELECTED CHAIRMAN OF THE NATIONAL MPO BOARD OF DIRECTORS, Colin Wellbeloved, chairman of the MPO KwaZulu-Natal region, was elected chairman of the National MPO Board of Directors at the directors’ meeting following the national annual general meeting on 10 October at Elsenburg in the Western Cape.

ELSENBURG, STELLENBOSCH – 11 October 2019 – The 2019 MPO Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Gala Dinner have drawn to a close, having facilitated dairy farmers from all over South Africa to come together, share ideas, make new connections, and set the direction for the MPO in 2020. One of the functions of the MPO board is to conduct elections for the following year’s national board of directors. We are pleased to announce a strong office bearer team elected for 2020.
The directors unanimously elected the following:
- CHAIRMAN – Colin Wellbeloved (MPO KwaZulu-Natal)
- VICE CHAIRMAN – Zola Gebeda (MPO Eastern Cape)
Thus, the deserving dairy producer directors for the new term are:
- Colin Wellbeloved (MPO KwaZulu-Natal, chairman)
- Zola Gebeda (MPO Eastern Cape, vice chairman)
- Dr Graham Carr (MPO KwaZulu-Natal)
- Fanie Ferreira (MPO Free State)
- Douglas Dickson (MPO North)
- Hannes Nel (MPO Western Cape)
- Ben van Greunen (MPO Western Cape)
The executive directors are:
- Dr Chris van Dijk (MPO National)
- Boet Pretorius (MPO National)
The new office bearers commence their term on 10 October. Regional elections will be held to fill the vacant positions of director MPO Eastern Cape and director MPO KwaZulu-Natal.
