MPO Northwest hosts school milk days

Some 3 600 pupils from 12 schools in Delareyville and Ottosdal participated in the MPO North West school milk days last week. MPO representatives led by branch chairman Mr Johan van Niekerk visited nine schools in Delareyville. Mr Ockie Marais spoke to pupils about the nutritional benefits of milk and dairy products in Tswana. Each pupil received milk sponsored by Mr Van Niekerk and processed by Wesmelk. Mr Nico de Bruyn, chairman of the MPO’s Ottosdal branch, and his wife Elna organised visits to three schools in Ottosdal. The milk was sponsored by Transem. Ms Benita Oelofsen, MPO North regional coordinator, said the events were a huge success. The MPO expresses its appreciation to all role players involved in the school milk days.
