Eastern Cape milk producers learn from peers

All Eastern Cape dairy farmers who attended the new-look MPO route meetings, which incorporated farm visits, from 13 to 16 April agreed that they gained valuable information and insight through the interaction with their peers and MPO representatives. Eight meetings were held starting in East London on Monday morning and concluding in the Tstitsikamma on Thursday afternoon. Milk producers in the region are positive and are currently experiencing favourable farming conditions. Eastern Cape chairman Simon Matthews said the farm visits were popular and successful and that the same format will definitely be used next year. He expressed a special word of thanks to the milk producers who hosted visits and meetings on their farms.
