Mpumalanga route meetings end on a positive note

MPO Mpumalanga concluded its route meetings on a positive note at the Alverston Manor Boutique Hotel in Middelburg on Thursday, 12 February. There was a good attendance at the meeting and farmers enjoyed the valuable exchange of information between themselves and MPO representatives. Mr Eric Johnson, milk producer in the Lydenburg district bade Mr Bertus de Jongh, who retires as MPO CEO on 30 March 2015, farewell on behalf of the dairy farmers in the region. Mr Kenneth Botha of Barnlab informed producers about the costs involved in raising dairy calves. MPO economist Dr Koos Coetzee spoke about local and international economic trends while MPO CEO Mr Bertus de Jongh gave a presentation of the past and present services of the MPO. Mr Dickson expressed his gratitude towards all who attended and the sponsors who contributed to the success of the day.
