Some 2 650 pupils from schools in Ventersdorp, Potchefstroom, Ottosdal and Leeudoringstad participated in the MPO North West school milk days last week. Branch chairmen Gielie Fourie, Eddie Coetzee, Nico de Bruyn and his wife, Elna, as well as Kobus Marais and his wife, Hantie, were responsible for the arrangements. Benita Oelofsen, MPO North regional coordinator, spoke to pupils about the nutritional benefits of milk and dairy products. Each pupil received milk sponsored by Transem. The events were a great success and the MPO thanks Attie du Plessis of Transem for sponsoring the milk, and FNB, Monsanto, MPO and Ruggedwear for sponsoring the colouring-in competitions.
