DAFF supports producers

Barbara Bieldt, MPO manager of market protection and development, economist Dr Koos Coetzee and head of Agri Inspec Bertus van Heerden met with representatives of the Chief Directorate: Marketing and Agro-Processing of DAFF to discuss current market conditions. Billy Morokolo, chief director, stated that DAFF supports milk producers and is in favour of inclusive industry strategies and outcomes that benefit the country. He advised the dairy industry to promote its product and emphasise the nutritional benefits and role in food security for the country. DAFF welcomes the opportunity to liaise with the MPO regularly and the chief director’s office will support a request by the MPO for a meeting with the minister.
