Tshilidze Matshidzula of Little Barnet has been appointed the Eastern Cape finalist in this year’s Young Farmer of the Year competition. He now goes through to the national competition. Originally from Thohoyandou, Matshidzula manages a dairy that this year won the Mangold Trophy, one of two annual prizes awarded by the Bathurst Conservation Committee. He will address the next Large Herds Conference on the topic: “How lessons learned at the SA Large Herds Conference helped me become a successful dairy farmer”.
