Global Dairy Platform – Thank you for celebrating World Milk Day 2021

Thank you so much for your involvement in the 2021 celebrations of #WorldMilkDay and for sharing such wonderful videos of Valerie Kneppert, James Kean, Lancewood Farms, and Gina Garland, for our use throughout the Enjoy Dairy Rally and World Milk Day. Your contributions were instrumental in making this the most successful World Milk Day in its 21-year history. Through these videos, we were able to re-introduce dairy farmers to the world by showing how the sector is adopting technology to reduce its environmental impact. Please extend our thanks to the wonderful farmers who sent through their videos!

Global Dairy Platform (GDP), which coordinates World Milk Day activity on behalf of the dairy sector, is pleased to announce there were celebrations in 100 countries, reaching 1,38 billion Impressions for the global campaign from over 199 000 social media posts (May 1 to June 2). These numbers have far exceeded last year’s results.

We will continue to celebrate World Milk Day in the future, and with your help the dairy sector can build on this positive momentum.

We hope that you will volunteer again to join the campaign team as a farmer representative and mobiliser next year.

Thank you!
